Debora graduated from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with the Phyllis Heeren Award for Outstanding Student. During her studies at Belmont University, Debora wrote a thesis paper titled "Negative Harmony: The Shadow Of Harmonic Polarity On Contemporary Composition Techniques" (2020) published under her maiden name Debora Haller. Her work has been viewed almost five hundred times from institutions all over the world. Her work has been featured in articles and papers and continues to draw the interest of music students learning about composition and harmony.

Debora continues to work actively in the field by writing and arranging music for commercial media and the church, and working as a session singer.
