This string arrangement is ideal for a young strings ensemble or string quintet. It introduces young string players to orchestral music while keeping it on the simple side. This popular German hymn (“Nun danket alle Gott”), published by Johann Crüger in the 1640s, originally communicates the message of thankfulness to God for all the wondrous things He has done, which makes this a wonderful piece for Thanksgiving season.
